A city of very different windows

Leeds isn’t one type of house, and that shapes how we work the round. In Headingley, Hyde Park and Armley the streets are lined with back-to-backs and Victorian terraces — narrow frontages, sash windows often just a step or two from the pavement, and glass that catches every bit of road grime going. Out in Roundhay and Moortown it’s mostly 1930s semis with bay windows and a bit more garden between the house and the road, which changes the access but not the need.

Further out toward Thorpe Park and Leeds East, newer estates bring larger, low-maintenance glazing units — fewer individual panes but bigger areas of glass, so a clean here looks and feels different again from a Victorian terrace in Hyde Park.

Student HMOs and family homes

A lot of the terraced stock around the universities has shifted to student HMOs over the years, and landlords there often want a one-off between tenancies rather than an ongoing round. Family homes tend to go the other way — a standing 4- or 8-weekly slot that just happens without anyone having to remember to book it. Water across Leeds runs moderately hard, which is exactly the kind of water that leaves mineral spotting behind if it’s left to dry naturally on glass. Because our system strips the minerals out before the water ever touches your windows, that spotting simply doesn’t happen — the glass dries clear whether it’s a still afternoon or a breezy one.

Ginnels, yards and access

A good number of the older terraces share a back yard or sit behind a tight ginnel, and access there isn’t always obvious from the street. If there’s a particular gate, a yard shared with a neighbour, or anything else we should know before we turn up, a note in the quote form saves everyone a wasted trip.

We work Leeds postcodes on a set cycle, covering the LS1–LS29 area on a rolling 4- or 8-weekly pattern depending on what each customer picks, with one-off visits slotted in around it. You’ll get a text the night before your slot either way.
