Who we are

David & Goliath Window Cleaning Specialist is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. We’re based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, and trade as a sole operator under Dawid Kmieć. You can contact us by phone on 07963 811921 with any question about your data.

What we collect

When you use the quote form on this site, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address (if you provide one), your address and postcode, details about your property (type, number of bedrooms, window coverage and any add-ons you select), and any notes you add about access or your requirements.

Why we collect it

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, work out and confirm a fixed price for the service you’ve asked about, and arrange a visit if you go ahead. If you become a customer, we also use your details to plan our round, text you the night before a visit, and take payment after a clean.

Our lawful basis

We process your enquiry details on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you. Where you become an ongoing customer, we rely on the contract between us to deliver the service, and on our legitimate interest in running the business efficiently — for example, keeping basic records so we know which round a customer is on.

Who processes your data

Our quote form is delivered by FormVault, a form-handling service operated by Beloved Websites, with servers located in the EU/UK. FormVault passes your enquiry straight through to us by email; it does not use your data for its own purposes and does not sell or share it with third parties. We don’t use any other data processor to handle your enquiry.

How long we keep it

If you make an enquiry that doesn’t turn into a booking, we keep your details for up to 12 months in case you get back in touch, then delete them. If you become a customer, we keep your records for as long as we’re providing the service to you, plus whatever period we’re required to retain basic transaction records for accounting and tax purposes under UK law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, call us on 07963 811921. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Marketing and cookies

We don’t hold a marketing list, and we don’t send marketing emails or texts — every message we send relates directly to your enquiry or your booking. We don’t sell or share your data with any third party for their own marketing purposes. This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no tracking scripts; if we ever add analytics, it will be cookieless, privacy-respecting tooling such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, and we’ll update this notice to say so.
